I would like your opinion about Niva´s vibrations, please.
I'm trying to reduce the vibration in the transfer case on my Niva and I made a good alignment between the boxes using a tool that I improvised, See it in the vídeo below. Now my Niva vibrates only in 2000 RPM very sensitive in third gear. At higher speeds and RPM´s it was excellent, there are no vibrations. I did a test with the car stopped. I put the transfer case in neutral and the symptom is the same, then I think the problem is not more alignment between the boxes but balancing of the flexible coupling. Do you know of any method to balance the flexible coupling? Is it possible or common? Could you help me with any tips, please?

Most effective way - perform that advice ON THE ROAD. Choose a streight flat road about one or more mile long. Untight 4 nuts of transfer gearbox cushions.

Now drive untill you reach speed about 80 kmh (mostly common vibration appearance). THen press the clutch and let the car to stop by itself, no brakes or gearbox shifting.

Go under the car and tight than nuts. Done.

Why you should do it on road? Transfer geaarbox in real conditions interacts with shafts, that move it to "unwanted" positions during the driving. Our method helps transferbox to discover most pretty position.

But, sure, it can't tune vertical axis. So thats why eleminating vibration is mostly usless, until you built gearbox and transferbox in united body.
